Quality Management Program Specialist (TEMP)

The Center for Elders Independence is a non profit organization serving frail elders in the East Bay. Our innovative, all-inclusive, long-term health care program (PACE Program) provides the frail elderly with all the care they need, allowing them to maximize their health & independence and remain close to their family members and within the community.  We currently have an opening for a Temporary Quality Management Program Specialist.

The Position: Under the supervision of the Director of Quality Management, the Program Specialist is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of quality studies and other quality department projects. The Program Specialist develops detailed action plans, facilitates meetings, and effectively communicates and documents final results of all projects.

 

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Project Management & Liaison Activities:

  1. Responsible for coordination and completion of assigned projects, performing a variety of tasks including setting deadlines, planning action steps, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing progress and results of the project.
  2. Day-to-day running of multiple projects through the entire project lifecycle, within set timelines.
  3. Participates in management, operations, and quality assurance meetings.
  4. Participates or leads other management meetings and task force meetings as required.
  5. Participates in PACE activities, including attending conference calls, reporting data, and other communication as deemed necessary.
  6. Responsible for Participant Satisfaction Survey and Employee Satisfaction Survey projects.

 

 

General Duties:

  1. Maintains the confidentiality of all company procedures, results and information about participants, clients or families.
  2. Follows all CEI Policies and Procedures, OSHA safety guidelines.
  3. Complies with all agency training requirements.

4.      Maintains safe working environment by following CEI’s Safety Polices and Procedures and participating in CEI’s safety committee if requested.

5.      Maintains a courteous, helpful and professional attitude on the job. Displays a willingness and ability to be responsive in a warm and caring manner to all customer groups.

  1. Performs other duties as assigned in a positive and helpful manner.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelors’ Degree in health care related field and at least three years work experience in a health care or social services organization.
  2. Experience with conducting surveys preferred.
  3. Exercises initiative and flexibility.  Able to plan, organize and meet deadlines, taking into account changing priorities.
  4. Experience facilitating discussions, groups or meetings.
  5. Strong written and oral communication skills including excellent telephone/customer service skills.
  6. Experience with word processing and spreadsheet development.
  7. Experience working effectively and harmoniously with a diverse staff, public and private agencies and government officials.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
  9. Ability to track, organize and present information that is accessible to others.
  10. Experience working with the elderly preferred.
