Center for Elders’ Independence celebrated a major milestone this summer—opening three new PACE centers throughout the East Bay. In three consecutive weeks, we were joined by participants, families, community members, elected officials and representatives, and community partners to officially open our doors in Livermore, El Sobrante, and Oakland communities. The Tri-Valley, West County and Temescal PACE Centers have the combined capacity to provide access and care to over 3,300 seniors, thereby doubling CEI’s ability to serve in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties.
Though each event honored the unique populations of these communities, all were united by the same goal: to provide compassionate support for older adults.
Three New Centers, One Big Community Celebration, More Capacity to Serve

With You Now and for Years to Come
CEI leadership has been clear—these new PACE centers aren’t just about expanding services. They’re for honoring the lives, resilience, and contributions of seniors in the East Bay.
“These centers are for every older adult in the community who wants to age with dignity, in the comfort of their own home. We are honored to serve you, proud to be part of this community, and excited for what lies ahead. Welcome home.”
— Maria Zamora, CEO, Center for Elders’ Independence
With each new opening, CEI renews its promise that older adults will not only receive care, but also experience joy, connection, and the dignity of choice.
