The Benefits of Creative Activities for Seniors

Creative hobbies are great for the mind, body, and spirit, especially as we age. In fact, studies show that activities like singing, theater, and visual arts can improve memory, cognitive function, and overall mental health and well-being in older adults. At CEI, creative activity is part of the participant care plan. CEI activity coordinators at our PACE centers plan various activities each day based on what seniors in our health plan want and need. Painting or drawing help build fine motor skills. Games bring out healthy competition and create joy. We believe having fun and trying new things is essential to good health. Read on to learn more.
